By Raju Prabath Lankaloka நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களின் வாக்குகளால் ரணில் விக்கிரமசிங்க ஜனாதிபதியாகத் தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார். கடந்த ஜூலை மாதம் 9ஆம் திகதி கோத்தபாய ராஜபக்சவை மக்களால் வெளியேற்றியதன் காரணமாக அந்த பதவி வெற்றிடமானது. ரணில் விக்கிரமசிங்க, ராஜபக்சவைப் போலவே மக்களால் வெறுக்கப்பட்டவர். கடந்த ஜனாதிபதி தேர்தலில் போட்டியிடும் வாய்ப்பு கூட அவருக்கு கிடைக்கவில்லை. அவர் மக்களால் நிராகரிக்கப்பட்டதால், அவர் போட்டியிட்ட மாவட்டத்திலோ அல்லது இலங்கையின் வேறு எந்த மாவட்டத்திலோ ஒரு ஆசனத்தில் வெற்றி பெற முடியவில்லை. 2020 பொதுத் தேர்தலில் அவரது கட்சி இலங்கையில் 2.15% வாக்குகளை மட்டுமே பெற முடியும். அப்படிப்பட்ட ஒருவரை நாட்டின் அதிபராகத் தேர்ந்தெடுப்பது அவர்கள் பேசும் ஜனநாயகத்தின் தன்மையைக் காட்டுகிறது. அவர்களின் ஜனநாயகம் மக்களின் விருப்பம் அல்ல. அவர்களின் ஜனநாயகம் என்பது ஆளும் வர்க்கம் மற்றும் அவர்கள் பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்தும் ஆளும் உயரடுக்கின் விருப்பம். அதுதான் இன்று நடந்தது என்பது தெளிவாகிறது. ஆரம்பம் முதலே ரணில்…
