Carnage on Easter Sunday: Let’s support the public protest demanding the truth to be revealed!
Colombe Archbishop Cardinal Malcom Ranjith on 17th April, called upon all citizens of Sri Lanka, irrespective of their racial or religious differences to unite with victims of Easter Sunday Carnage to create a strong human chain, on Friday 21st April, from Colombo to Negombo to call upon the truth and justice for the victims of Easter Sunday carnage.
We, Socialist Party of Sri Lanka and Asia Commune unconditionally support this request of Archbishop Cardinal Malcom Ranjith. We call upon all justice loving, honest and fair citizens of Sri Lanka to join this public protest for the future well-being of the people of our country.
It has been 4 years since the Easter Sunday Massacre in Sri Lanka, but the rulers of Sri Lanka have failed to provide justice to the victims of that massacre and their families. Instead, Sri Lanka’s ruling class elites are using their state power to hide and whitewash the real culprits responsible for this attack, and also to use these killings for their political power games.
Let’s join the human chain stretching from Colombo, Kochchikade to Negombo on Friday, April 21 to defeat these humiliating attempts by the ruling class elites in Sri Lanka and force justice for the victims of the Easter attack and to reveal the truth to the people!
